Testing the Fire Suppression System

Testing the Fire Suppression System

Our fire suppression system started with our neighbor Jim, a former military engineer who saved his Harry Gesner-designed structure in the Woolsey Fire using a remote controlled, off grid system he created. His surveillance camera recorded how the system protected his structure and part of his property while flames stood about 100 feet tall. That video convinced us to reach out to him.

We were grateful that he offered to help us, and working with us also helped him with his vision to further develop his successful prototype into a refined, commercial product.

After more than two years of planning and installation, the system was ready for a test run on our nearly completed rebuild. The video shows it in action. Next steps will be to add more water supply.
