Road Closure | Fixing the Well | Brush Clearance
Road Closed
After one year and two month, our road is still closed.
Big road repairs are still ongoing. Most of the time we’re able to drive up to the property, but more and more there are sudden hard closures without any notice to the property owner, forcing us to take a detour for 20 minutes and causing problems coordinating with our deliveries. We got already charged twice when delivery trucks could not drive through.
Well pump repair
Finally, we repaired/replaced our well pump.
Now, we are hoping to move closer to using our well again.

Brush Clearance
We started early with our brush clearance this year. On some warm days, the rattlesnakes are out. We welcome their return, which is an important sign of the ecosystem returning to health and an important balance to the exploding rodent population. We never kill snakes, but will relocate them if needed. Because our dogs are not back on the property yet, we leave them alone.
