March 2020 Springtime

First time We’ve seen “Ehrendorferia ochroleuca”, Yellow Bleeding Heart, in our canyon. It’s a fire-follower and does not germinate without being exposed to smoke. The 2018 WoolseyFire brought this plant back. After a couple of years we are unlikely to see this plant until the next fire. (Santa Monica Mountains Trails Council)
