Where to Start? More Rain, …

Some of the new electricity poles put along the road after the fire are already down! Again!

Employees of Public Works told us they’ve so far used over 2500 trucks to haul all the mud away in our canyon.

We wonder if this is being counted as part of the total greenhouse gas emissions from the fire. Also part of the canyon road was washed away in the mudslides.

This is going to add a long time to our community’s recovery. We try to remember #MalibuStrong

Woolsey Fire Task Force, …

Diane was asked by LA County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl to join the “Woolsey Fire Task Force.” Diane is honored to serve the community this way.
The first public “listening session” was on February 23rd at Pepperdine University in Malibu. It was tough to hear the stories, many of friends and neighbors. And all the harder because Diane’s mom was hospitalized the night before with sudden and serious pneumonia. Her mom has never had lung issues, but the air has been bad. even down at the beach. We are prayerful, tired, and taking life a day at a time. We are also glad for the brave community members who came out to share their difficult experiences and for Supervisor Kuehl, who brought together the heads of many agencies to listen and learn.
